She has 2 teeth coming in on the bottom that are obviously bothering her. I can’t wait for them to come in! She calls her pacifier a “Bah-Bah,” and we aren’t sure where that name came from. But, I think she may try to get 3 in there next time since this worked so well 🙂
Kylie was trying out the new little sleeper that Aunt Debbie got for Baby Cade. She’s such a good big sister already 🙂 Looks like it’s pretty comfortable, and she definitely approves since she wants to “sleep” in it all the time. She’s only 20 pounds so I figured she couldn’t hurt it. Thanks Aunt Debbie!
We spent the first week of travels over the holidays with our family in WV. Other than the fact that we each had a bout with the stomach bug, it was a lot of fun 🙂 We even had snow! Colt was in heaven. He kept saying how much he LOVED winter!
THEN we spent a week with our family in SC! We were all well by then (except me – I had the cough/congestion thing going on), so we played and enjoyed our cousins!
I LOVE IT when they start to reach the age of playing together. Though they aren’t nearly on the same page, Kylie likes to dress up and Colt humored her 🙂
Kylie has been sleeping in a big bed while we are in South Carolina, and Colt wanted to sleep with her tonight. This is what I found when I went in to check on them 🙂 So sweet! I love them.
Today we celebrated my husband’s great accomplishment of obtaining his Masters of Divinity in Christian Apologetics. Four years ago we moved to Wake Forest, NC with a 5 month old little son so that David could study at Southeastern. We made an investment and purchased our first home, I started my nursing career, we got plugged into a local chrch with several ministry opportunities, and have gone from that family of three to a family of five (any day now anyways – ha)! We were drawn to this school because of how global-focused it was and is as was evidenced by the charge Dr. Akin (the president) made at the ceremony today. We are so thankful for all of the teaching David has received from professors, personal study, and life lessons. He and I both have grown so much!! Closer to our Lord and closer to each other. We are excited to embark on this new journey overseas in 2013. May we remain sensitive to our Lord that He may continue to direct each step. I am so proud of David – through all of his studies he never misplaced priorities of the Father, his family, work/chrch/school. Despite inevitable stress and pressure from school (which was never evidently displayed in his countenance or attitude), he remained consistently attentive at home to me and the kids. I’m so thankful for his love and leadership. I love you babe! Thanks so much to all of the family of friends who celebrated today with us too ~
