Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Part 1)

About 2 weeks ago, our family took a trip to KL, Malaysia. Just about everyone we talked to mentioned the plane from KL that has “disappeared” just a week earlier than our trip. We weren’t nervous though – in the Father’s hands and His timing.

The kids did beautifully on the flight there. It only took about 5 hours from our city to KL – direct flights are so very nice. We also packed in just 2 backpacks and 1 carry-on duffel! Our hotel had washer/dryer facilities, so I only packed 2 outfits, swimsuits, diapers, and snacks. It’s really nice not to have to wait for luggage when you get off the plane. It’s also really nice to have backpacks as carry-ons so you can be hands free for the kiddos.

Colt enjoyed taking pictures and making videos with my phone during the flight. This is actually a really good one huh?

And this is what happened to entertain everyone during the flight. I don’t know why I bothered to pack snacks. The kids were eating the whole trip. . . snacks that everyone else gave them!  They are just so adored here! It never ceases to amaze me!

What’s really interesting, is that on our flight to Kuala Lumpur AND ON THE RETURN TRIP we sat beside the same people!! hahaha. They had a little boy a couple of months older than Caden. We talked to them a good bit (as much as we could anyways), Kylie played with the baby and squeezed him too death, and we exchanged snacks of course! They gave our kids things like dried seaweed and “beef floss rolls,” mmmmmm. . . not a big hit with Colt and Kylie. Caden seemed to like it just fine though :)

I have too many pics and videos for one post, so I’m going to break it up into several. It was a good trip! More to come. . .

  1. Haley and David, I am enjoying your posts so much. I think for me what fasicinates me the most is the interaction between the children, and the way your babies fascinates the grown ups as well as the children. And tell Colt he did some great picture taking.

  2. Loved Colt’s picture of the ‘wild blue yonder’!
Always love hearing from you and seeing how the little ones are doing.
