In America, there were so many foods that I just chose not too eat because there were better options. Yet, here, when a local so kindly brings you “gifts” of food or buys you dinner (and they also order it). . . you don’t really get that option Last week David and I ate some very strange things that I never would have chosen. . . and never will choose for that matter Here is the running list:
1. Cow tongue
2. Dried salted sliced plum
3. Weird horse bean (that was it’s name)
4. Congealed pig blood
5. Pig intestines
6. Spicy salty hardboiled duck egg
7. Spicy raisins
8. Goat on a stick
9. Tree fungus
10. Some gray gelatinous chicken something or other
11. Algae soup
12. Algae “meatballs”
Tomorrow we are supposed to eat lunch out with our tutor again. . . so I’m sure our list will be updated!
OH. MY. GOODNESS !!!
Congealed…pig….BLOOD. Cold, I presume? Do you…put it on something akin to toast? I’m going to vomit.
Actually it was in a hot dish And you just eat it like you would jello. . . yummmm!
