Yeppers. . . Little Colty is losing his hair. Mostly on one side and the front/top. He’s still cute though! I think it would be just great if he would lose all of it except around the sides and back (which doesn’t seem to be falling out). Wouldn’t that look hilarious?
We had guest speakers at our chrch this morning – Dr. Ken and Diane Hay from the Wilds Camp in NC. We had a split Sunday School for the entire chrch The women stayed upstairs with Mrs. Diane and the men went downstairs. We had a wonderful study on Ruth – our great example of a virtuous woman right before our eyes!
“Virtuous” – living life as an exceptional example of all that is good. It was quite convicting. My hearts desire has always been (or at least for many years) to be a virtuous woman. I’ve studied and memorized Proverbs 31, but even that chapter starts out with “Who can find a virtuous woman?” They seem to be few and far in between.
Mrs. Diane challenged us by asking if others would characterize us this way? Are we kind? Faithful? Good? Trustworthy? Industrious? Economical? Generous? Reverent? Wise? Wow. I know I will never reach perfection or spiritual maturity as a wife or mother, but it’s these fresh reminders that spur me on all the more to reach that goal!
The other challenging thing was that Ruth left all to follow her mother-in-law, Naomi. Naomi had such a great influence on Ruth! It was a great reminder to be an example to the younger girls as well as be thankful for the older. Not that my Mom or Mother-In-Law are “old” but I am thankful for them both and our relationships as well as their examples. We are blessed more than most!
I don’t care if that is a “balding” baby…he’s still a cutie pie! I loved reading about the Hayes being there and about the “mother-in-law” part…I think you need to follow your mother in law to SC! Seriously, your post was great and it’s a blessing to know that you desire to be used of the Lord as a virtuous woman…He’s use you as you stay yielded to Him. Love you all three!
