The first bite of peas. . . “I’m gonna have to think about this. Mommy says they’re good for me, and that I’ll learn to love ’em” “I DEFINITLY DON’T LOVE THEM! UGH!! GET THEM AWAY FROM ME!”
“I think I’m going to throw up! I can’t believe people really eat these! (cough, choke, gag)”
“I got them down, but I don’t know if they will stay there! Why do you like peas again Mommy? That was the most horrible experience of my WHOLE life (besides the birth canal).”
Little does Colt know, we are going to have some peas tomorrow for lunch AND dinner He swallowed about 5 bites. . . but they were obviously painful!
Dear Colt,
Tell Mommy that it doesn’t have to taste bad to be good. You are precious. Love, Aunt B.
Hey Girl…I remember when Evan first started trying foods. He hated peas…and still does. He is loving his new adventure on just table food. He won’t even touch baby food now. Have fun with trying new things…
Haley, I think you’ve found your nitch as a “baby comedy writer”….so funny! I needed to laugh. Looking forward to seeing you all! Love you!
Sooo funny and reminiscent. He’s adoreable.
Suggestion: Alternate bites, every other one peas with something sweet (applesauce, apricots, custard…whatever he likes)between. Yes, it’s trickery and treachery. But every good mother knows the mantra, “When all else fails, lower your standards.” Only on negotiables of course.
Love,
Kathy Henderson
that was soo funny:o) loved the pictures!
Haley & David Today is March 17th and i had to go back and look at htis my all time favorite post, Then i realized that mom and I didn’t even comment on it. I love to read each caption and laugh every time I do. Tell gramps Donnie that he has to feed the peas and I’ll feed the apple sauce. You guys are doing a magnifico job at parenting, keep up the great work,7 months down, at least 20 years to go.
