Meet Princess the Python

So, Colt wanted a pet snake and Daddy came through for him! Sweet little Princess (as Colt so affectionately named her) is the newest member of our family. We tried to give her a bath because she is in shed and the moisture helps, but she was more interested in climbing I suppose. I’m just glad she stayed in the tub (kind of). The video below was our first time ever holding her. You can see she is very docile and seems like she will be a great snake! Colt obviously wasn’t afraid.

Wild Man

So, Colt spotted the squirrel and helped David kill it. THEN was so excited for me to see his “prize.” I can’t believe he thought I would want to hold that?!! No thank you.

This also explains why he wants a corn snake for a pet. . .

She is 15 months

Can’t believe our little girl was 15 months yesterday! She is 20.2 pounds and 31 inches according to her well-child check up today (up from 18.10 pounds and 28 3/4 inches at 12 months). That’s puts her at 70% for height and 35% for weight. She is a lover. Always hugging and snuggling. She doesn’t say much, but then Colt talks enough for the whole family. She does say: uh-oh, Buh (she calls Colt for bubby), more, makes a dog sound, papaw, (one, two. . and her part) FREEEE!, boo, ball, book, hi, and bye. We love you sweet girl!

The Hunters

Colt informed us that this was NOT his FIRST TIME hunting because he helped David to track 2 deer last year. But, this was the first time that he went and sat in the woods 🙂 David said he did great – sat quietly for at least 2 hours. Anyone who knows Colt also knows that is pretty impressive. While they were in the hunting blind Colt said, “Dad this is awesome!” They saw 4 deer and both had a good time. Kylie was concerned at first because of the face paint, but she got over that once she realized Colt and Daddy were the same (they looked/acted pretty tough though – as you can see from the pictures).
