Well, after spending the weekend with our “Beckley family” (the Hogans – thank you for the wonderful hospitality and fun cookie baking), we arrived here in South Carolina Sunday night around 11:30 pm.
It’s been semi-quiet with just David’s parents, our family, and Daniel . . . but that will all change after tonight, and we are looking forward to it! All 4 boys and their families will be here by tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and Colt’s cousins (with 2 more on the way!).

We have really enjoyed being here though. Not only because I have great in-laws, or great meals (thanks Mama T), or a welcoming chrch family here, or because it’s been in the 70’s . . . but because of all those things
One story from the week is from the Christmas banquet at chrch last night. For some reason Colt likes peace and quiet and not a lot of people around at once. The only reason I can think of is because that’s how it usually is when he’s home with me. The only noise would be us playing or some music in the background. But, he could just be that personality too. . . I suppose we’ll see as he grows. Anyways, at chrch last night he started getting fussy with all of the noise and people at the banquet, so David and I took him out and asked the Lord to help him be a blessing because we knew so many of the chrch family has been following our blog and anxiously waiting to meet this little man. Should we be surprised that he stayed awake, calm, smiling and laughing for over 3 hours?! It was a great evening
Anyways, that’s a quick short post . . . but I’m sure there will be lots more to come once everyone else arrives!
