A few weeks ago, we went on our annual campout with Colt’s class. It was about an hour and a half drive out to the middle of nowhere. Trying to find a place without people in this country is no easy task We cooked over the open fire and played in the water, then we took the kids on a hike to a waterfall. On the way there, we decided to take an “alternative route and follow the creek. . . . TERRIFYING and miraculous that no one got hurt! The waterfall was truly breathtaking though and freezing cold! We took the regular road back thankfully! That night we set up our tents in an area with some big sand piles. The kids had a blast running up and down the hills of sand and getting completely filthy. . . however, at 6am the big trucks that made those piles showed up for work!! So, we were all scrambling to get the tents put up and get out of their way. Also, so much for a finding a place without people. haha
It was ok that we got an early start packing up though because the kids’ school was having a race that morning that we all needed to get to anyways. The parents had to run with the kids, and I could not keep up with Caden!! Colt, Kylie, and Caden each got first for their ages. It was fun.
Congratulations on your Running Awards! Did you see any wildlife on your hike? Live seeing the pics 💕
Just a stray dog or two Nothing exciting by means of wildlife
