Colt and I walked to another park today. It’s the craziest thing, but there are 4-5 parks within a couple of miles from our home! So, we get out to one of them about everyday

Colt loves to run around and play in the sand or woodchips. He is really liking the swings too. Surprisingly he isn’t afraid to climb all over the playground equipment. Of course, this means Mommy is climbing all over it right there with him. . . brings back some memories. He’s keeping me young

We have fun though and the funniest thing is that there were several squirrels eating nearby, and Colt spots them. He starts saying “doggy doggy doggy” (unceasingly) while chasing the squirrels. I guess that’s closer in name than what he used to call squirrels – “ducks.” I mean, squirrels DO HAVE fur and 4 legs like “doggies” right?

Colt can also spot a “ball” from a mile away. We were walking home from the park and he was getting all excited about a “ball,” but I couldn’t find it. Sure enough there was one way several yards down near a house. It’s amazing what they see and understand.

Some new things he’s saying – “tickle tickle tickle” and he’ll poke around on you.
– “nilk” for milk
– “ju” for juice
