After going to WV around Christmas and seeing his cousin Sarah ride her bike (with training wheels), that is what Colt wanted as well. He usually wants all blue everything. In fact, he had this little blue big wheels thing with a blue helmet and was stuck on the fact that it didn’t have blue pedals (they are yellow or red, I think). He always picks blue when given a choice – plate, cup, crayon, shirt, ball, etc. So, when he said he wanted a RED bike. . . I kept saying, “Are you sure?”
It didn’t really matter though because when I went on Craigslist, there was only ONE toddler bike with training wheels. Not only was RED. . . it was Lightning McQueen (which Colt loves)! AND it was just like 5 miles away from our house!! AND it just was $5 with the matching helmet!!! AND I would like to give all the praise to the Father for all of the above
Colt was soooo excited. He doesn’t care that is used. He doesn’t know the difference. It’s his “new” bike, and it’s red. He’s been sharing it great with kids at the park too. Makes my heart happy. Love this little guy!
Colt,
Good Job on riding your new bike. I can see ‘doin’ wheelies’ in your future !
