One of our favorite sounds…
Red Radio Flyer
We had a wonderful lunch/dinner at Aunt B and Uncle Dale’s yesterday. Just in case any of you are hungry. . . we had filet mignon, cheesy mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, green beans, and rolls. For dessert there was fresh apple pie, a yummy cream cheese/pudding dessert, and birthday cake (they surprised me by celebrating my birthday a month early! haha). It was a lot of fun and the babies were quite entertaining!
Colt got some new shoes from Aunt B. . . he wasn’t quite sure about those things!
Come Back and Play Addison Rae!
Babies together again
Well, we made it to my parents house Thursday night about 10 o’clock. It was a loooong trip. Colt decided he only wanted to sleep for about 1 hour out the 6 hour trip. . . and cried pretty much the rest of the time. Can’t wait to see what the trip home holds!! ha.
It was good to see everyone again though. We have really missed the kiddos especially – Sarah and her brother Jacob. The babies were so funny when they saw each other. They just wanted to get ahold of the other one and were talking away!
This post is for those of you who have told me you miss seeing little Sarah. She has grown so much!! She is crawling circles around all of us, pulling up and getting around really well. She is such a pretty girly

Psalm 37:4
Well, the Father is good. . . all the time. David and I have been here in Wake Forest, NC for 2 1/2 months diligently seeking job opportunities. The timing with the move and my nursing boards taking forever to schedule and all didn’t seem ideal to me. For some reason though, I never questioned. I just had peace that the Lord would provide in His time. I’m sure it’s because of seeing His mighty hand work in so many ways all of my life.
He didn’t fail us this time either! It’s funny how the Lord always cares for His own, but this time He gave us more than our needs. . . He gave us the very desires of our heart!! Last Monday, I had 2 job interviews on the same days at 2 hospitals. They both had their pros and cons. Both were about 30-40 minutes away, one was small and personable, the other large and well known. I liked them both actually. I went in as a new grad with no real nursing experience and not really knowing what to expect. At the end of the day, I had offers from both hospitals . . . it just blew my mind. That wasn’t what I thought would happen going into the day at all. I guess I needed more faith!! All that to say, we are very excited and grateful that I start at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC at the end of this month! Yippee!!
The other amazing thing, was that with David going to school full-time and me working full-time, we were really interested in him being able to find a job as a music minister at a chrch This way we could serve in the chrch be involved more, and he could be home with Colt during the days that I work instead of being gone to work as too. Well, the Lord has provided that opportunity as well with the chrch that we both had peace about from the beginning. We are soo excited to see the way the Lord is directing our steps!
All that to say, we were planning a trip during David’s Easter break from seminary, but since neither of us know what our work schedules will be we may not be able to get away anymore. . . So, we decided to just wing it and go for a long weekend. Here are some clues to where our travels will take us –.jpg)
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Real Life (in Colt’s world)
Colt finally started going forward with his crawling little self! It’s definitely slow motion, but I’m sure he’ll speed up once he gets the hang of it. . . watch out world, here he comes!! He’s trying to warn you in the second video, and then the laughter in the third ends on a softer note 🙂
Little Music Man
I am convinced that music is a gift from the Father that can soothe the soul. Little Man was having a melt down yesterday, and the only thing that consoled him was when I started to play the piano. Then he decided to join me. He just sits right there and play (bangs) right along with you! Obviously, music is big in this family, but I pray it will be in Colt’s bones! haha.jpg)

The Rail Trail
The weather was warm yesterday, and we decided to enjoy the Rail Trail here in Florence, SC. We have been down here for a few days visiting David’s parents. It’s been like a vacation with all of the relaxing, good meals, and fishing for the boys.
I just took a few pics . . . Colt was getting ready to go for our walk. Here are those infamous shoes (in the mouth where they belong).
(Those 2 cute teeth! – – though they have not been too fun getting here)
We all enjoyed the time outdoors. Colt enjoyed the ride, but somehow it wore him out 🙂
