Well, we seemed to find about 48 hours to visit my parents for my dad’s birthday – I won’t mention how old he is, but we did have a big celebration last year for his 50th. (Sorry to my WV friends that we didn’t have time to visit – – it just wasn’t nearly long enough!). It was great to see the fam at the cook out though and of course, the little ones picked up right where they left off. Sarah was waiting for Colt when we pulled in the driveway. . . and Colt had brought her flowers because, well. . . girls like flowers.
“Sarah, what do you want to do now that we’re both at Gramps’ and Nana’s? We could ride bikes, climb the tallest trees, go cow tipping, hide from Nana Gail, eat bugs or dig for worms? I’ll even let you pick!”
“hmm, I don’t remember giving you that suggestion, but it sounds like fun! And Daddy says to agree with the girl when possible, so let’s go!”
Sarah shows Colt exactly what drawer the carrots are in and they jump in the wagon to go feed the horse! That’s right. . . Gramps is boarding a horse now too. It’s becoming a regular looking farm down there (and smelling like one too).
Of course, Sarah shows Colt how to eat the majority of the carrots too. “You can get as many carrots as you can hold. Gramps usually carries extras. I can hold 7, but I’ll probably eat 6 of them and give 1 to the horse.”

Great storyline ~ it was fun to share feeding the horse with Sarah & Colt ~ already looking forward to a return visit from the Miles’ family!
Love,
Dad and Mom

I love how Sarah is listening ‘intently’ to what Colt is saying :-). It was great to see you all. Love, Aunt B.
Haley-you’re the most hysterical person I’ve ever known! 🙂 I love the story… Too bad we missed you! Hope you guys are doing well, we miss you lots! Thanks for the post.
